The Organic Lawns for America program is designed to give you a nice lawn without using the toxic chemicals that we have been accustomed to using. It is important to remember that organic lawn care improves the SOIL while chemical lawn care sterilizes the soil. Beginning in the spring and continuing through fall we will ship a customized organic lawn care treatment directly to your door. We will provide you with a soil test kit and most importantly we will provide you with the information you need to be a true organic lawn care applicator. It's important to remember that when you use organic products on your lawn it takes a little bit longer to see results. Your lawn won't be glowing nuclear green like it is the day after chemicals are sprayed on it. Give it a couple of weeks after you apply the products and you will be very proud of the results.
Early Spring:
The First Treatment is sent to you just as soil temperatures reach sixty degrees. Certified organic corn gluten is an all natural by product of the manufacturing of cornstarch. It is a pre-emergent herbicide and source of nitrogen and will not affect insects, soil organisms or aquatic life. You have to apply it pretty heavily so be prepared to push that spreader. |

Late Spring:
The Second Treatment will be delivered to you about four weeks after your first treatment. With spring rains come broadleaf weeds and this treatment is designed to offer some control of those broadleaf weeds and provide a source of fertilizer for that nice late spring green color. The weed control takes a little bit longer to work but it sure is better than tracking all those chemicals into your home. |

Early Summer:
The Third Treatment is a microbial soil conditioner. By now summer conditions have begun and your lawn is feeling some stress. Our soil conditioner contains beneficial soil bacteria, fungi, vitamins and amino acids and is designed to improve nutrient availability and increase resistance to environmental extremes like heat and drought. |
Late Summer:
The Fourth Treatment will be arriving in the latter part of the summer just in time to help your lawn respond after some tough weather. It is a combination of cottonseed meal, alfalfa, feather meal, rock phosphate, kelp meal, cocoa meal, fish meal, crab meal, dried whey and natural micronutrients. This is organic lawn care at its best. |

Fall:
The Fifth Treatment is actually two treatments in one! A natural liquid aerating product will help loosen compacted and clay soils. Compact soil prevents water and nutrients from reaching the root system of the grass. The second part of this treatment is a soil activator. This product is designed to detoxify the soil, generate microbial activity and provide trace nutrients and biostimulants. |
Late Fall:
The Final Treatment is designed to help your lawn look as good in the fall as it did in the spring. A full on treatment of Kelp Booster will provide calcium and other micronutrients which attribute to the overall health and appearance of the grass. Continuing to stimulate the microorganisms in the soil will only help to continue to build a very healthy soil structure. |
